Welcome to jinxedgeneration.
For the first time in Britain, a retired grandmother in her 80s can expect a better quality of life than a working person in their 20s. Young people – the jinxed generation – will see their parents earn more, own more and live more comfortably than them. And pay for it.
According to a House of Lords report, the government is “woefully unprepared” for the consequences of an ageing population. More on that here.
Jinxedgeneration exists to address the problem and help young people understand the political and economic world around them. It is accessible, clearly written and non-partisan.
